Who these terms cover
This website is run by ForCounsellors Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17316199), trading as ForCounsellors. These terms apply to your use of the website. Using the ForCounsellors platform itself will be governed by a separate agreement that you accept when you create an account.
Using this site
You are welcome to browse the site and to share links to it. Please do not copy its content for commercial use, attempt to interfere with how it runs, submit forms by automated means, or use it in any way that breaks the law or harms other people.
What the site tells you
We describe a product that is still being built. Features, timelines and prices on this site are our current intentions, offered in good faith, and may change before launch. Any price shown here is indicative until you sign up to the platform and accept its terms.
Articles and guides on this site are general information for counsellors and students. They are not clinical, legal or financial advice, and they do not replace the guidance of your supervisor, your training provider or your professional body.
Registering your interest
Registering your interest does not create an account or a contract. It tells us that you would like to hear when the platform launches. How we look after the details you give us is set out in our privacy notice, and you can ask to be removed at any time.
Plans and billing
This is how paying for the ForCounsellors platform works, in plain words. The full platform terms you accept when you create an account will include it.
- Plans. Students use ForCounsellors free until they qualify. Qualified counsellors choose Starter, with no subscription and a fee on each card payment, or Professional.
- Monthly or yearly. Professional is £28.50 a month, or £23.75 a month, billed yearly as £285 (two months free). You pay by card through Stripe.
- Renewal. Professional renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you move to Starter. About 30 days before a yearly renewal we email you the date and the amount.
- Switching. You can switch between monthly and yearly at any time from Settings. Nothing is charged when you switch: the change happens, and the new price is taken, on your next renewal date.
- Moving to Starter. You can move to Starter at any time. Professional carries on to the end of the month or year you've paid for, and nothing more is charged.
- Changing your mind. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a yearly payment by emailing support@forcounsellors.com. We refund it in full and your account moves to Starter. After those 14 days there are no refunds, including for part of a year. Monthly payments aren't refunded; cancel any time and you won't be billed again.
- Discounts and credit. Discounts, such as the yearly saving, promotional offers and any credit we give you, are at our discretion and may change with notice. Anything you've already paid for or earned is honoured. Credit comes off your next payment and isn't paid out as money; it ends if your account is deleted.
Our content
The ForCounsellors name, logo, design and the words and images on this site belong to ForCounsellors Ltd or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own reference. Any other use needs our written agreement.
Other websites
Where we link to other websites we do so to be helpful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
Liability
We work hard to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will be free of errors or interruptions. We are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on information here or from being unable to use the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales.
Changes and law
We may update these terms from time to time and will revise the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
